Our Hospital is in service since 15 june 1984

1. Since then we have treated over 500 000 patients
2. We have given more than 1 500 000 medical opinions
3. There where over 120 000 surgical operations performed
4. Over 60 000 children have been delivered in our hospital, including 400+ twins

General, Vascular and Oncologic Surgery, Chemiotherapy, Cardiology, Pediatric Cardiology, Maternity and Gynecology, Urology, Laryngology, Ophtalmology, Dermatology, Neonalology, Pediatry, Angiology, Nefrology, Intensive Care, Emergency.
Ambulatory treatment: 18 Specialistic Ambulatories, Diagnostic Laboratories, Hemodialisis, Peripheral Angiological Laboratory, Cardioangiographic Laboratory
Hospital Doctors – 134: ( 4 – proffessor, 45 - Ph.D.’s , 128 - II degree specialists, 6 - I degree specialists, 43 - residents, 33 - trainees )
Nurses and Midwives: 408, Assistant and Technical Staff: 175 , Administration Staff: 80
Hospital achievements :

1. 1984 - opening of tomographic laboratory- first in Lower Silesia
2. 1985 - first kidney transplantation
3. 1990 - first open heart surgery
4. 1993 - opening of Magnetic Resonance - first in Lower Silesia
5. 2004 – modernization of Central Sterilisation Unit
6. 2004 – opening of modern cardioangiographic laboratory Innova 4000
7. 2005 – set up of a comprehensive digital radiography system
8. 2006 – Hospital won 4th edition of The Lower Silesian Quality Prize
9. 2006 – Ministry of Science and Higher Education nominated our Hospital as Research and Development Unit
10. 2007 – opening of a Cardiac Electrostimulation Unit

Since 2002 our Hospital has been highly placed in „Golden Top 100 of Polish hospitals” in Rzeczpospolita Ranking.
Since june 2005 our hospital is proud to have Quality Management System consistent with ISO 9001:2000

Main areas of interest:

1. Medical research – angiology, cardiology, nephrology, ophtalmology, oncology, urology, vascular and general surgery
2. Screening examinations - dermatology, oncology, urology
3. Informatisation - e-health, teleradiology

Improvement of living conditions and access to highly specialized medical procedures for the Lower Silesian residents through screening examination of breast and prostate cancer with radical brachytherapy treatment

Plans for the future:

• Modernization including adapting to european standards, meeting diagnostic and clinical requirements.
• Implementation of the new therepeutic methods with the use of stem cells and gene therapy.
• Increasing of treatment with low-invasive and endovascular methods.
• Development of integrated center for heart and vascular diseases with stroke unit
• Increasing of prophylaxis , diagnostics and treatment of neoplasmatic disorders, especially breast, genital, cystic, pancreatic and stomach cancer
• Development of enteral and parenteral nutrition methods in critically ill patients
• Developing new prophylactic project of ambulatory units for dermatological disorders

Integrated informatic system of hospital management

The project, based on Internet, will offer possibility to check, register, reserve and document Medical services. User will be able to log in to syste checking accessibility of dedicated medical specialist.
Feedback information will be send back to patient. This will result in creating electronic Heath record, which will be modified during medical examination. System will be able to calculate medical procedures.
